48 Hours Pre-Notification before Travelling with Trained Service Animal
Service dogs can travel free of charge in the cabin on all of our flights.
A service dog is one that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a qualified individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or other mental disability.
To be able to travel with you, your service dog must:
- Be at least 4 months old
- Have received behavioural training
- Show appropriate behaviour whilst in public and on board our aircraft
- Remain under your control at all times.
Passengers with a disability are permitted to travel with a maximum of two service dogs.
We are unable to accept emotional support animals, comfort animals, companionship animals or service animals in training for travel on our flights.
Booking your service dog
Documentation must be fully completed and emailed to us detailing the health, training and behaviour of the service dog at least 48 hours prior to your flight. We recommend starting this process as soon as you book your reservation.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide the applicable form to you. We will add the service dog to your booking after you have made the booking and sent us the form.
Regulations to travel
Different conditions will apply depending on where you are travelling to. Please ensure your dog has the necessary documentation to travel.

We ask that you download the applicable one for your country of destination and complete this before sending it back to us along with all required documentation for your service dog at least 48 hours prior to your flight.
However, it remains your responsibility to ensure you have the correct documentation for where you are travelling to and you carry original/copies of such documents as required for inspection on arrival by the relevant authorities. Any fines, costs or any other expenses incurred as a result of insufficient documentation will be your responsibility.
Written statements and any documents must be in English or have a certified English translation.
At the airport and on board
Once you arrive at the airport, please speak to a Norse representative at check-in as they will need to check your paperwork before you travel. We will be unable to accept your service dog without the correct documentation for your country of destination.
We recommend that your dog wears an identifying jacket, vest or harness whilst in the airport and on board our aircraft.
If you have not already selected a seat online, we will assign a suitable seat for you and your service dog. This cannot be on an emergency exit row or anywhere which obstructs an aisle or encroaches into another passenger’s space.
Depending on its size, your service may either travel on your lap (if smaller than a two (2) year old child) or in the foot space of your seat and must be attached to your seat belt via a leash. We recommend securing the dog with a harness rather than a collar.
We may deny transport of your service dog is if violates or threatens health or safety requirements or causes a significant disruption in the airport or aircraft cabin. You may also be liable for any damage caused by your service dog.
