# Family & Children baggage allowance

Traveling with children usually means bringing a bit more than just yourselves. The baggage allowance depends on your child’s age and ticket type, but essentials like strollers and car seats are already taken care of.

### **Hand Baggage**

**Infant (under 2 years)**

Tickets for infants traveling on an adult’s lap do not have a personal item or cabin bag allowance but you may bring a reasonable amount of baby food, milk, and formula needed for the flight. These are permitted in addition to standard cabin liquid restrictions.

**Children (2-11 years)**

Child ticket includes standard baggage allowance based on their fare, including one personal item and an additional cabin bag with a weight allowance depending on the ticket type.

### **Checked Baggage**

Passengers traveling with infants or children **may bring following items at no additional cost**, in addition to their standard checked baggage allowance depending on the fare type:

*   Pram
*   Stroller / baby buggy
*   Portable cot
*   Highchair

Strollers may be used up to the boarding gate, where they will be tagged and placed in the aircraft hold. On arrival, these will either be ready outside the aircraft doors or collected at the baggage hall (applicable in some US airports due to local customs restrictions).

Children are also entitled to a standard checked baggage allowance depending on the fare type purchased.

If you wish to register a stroller or car seat under your booking, please be advised that, you may present the item directly at the airport check-in counter on the day of departure, where our airport agents will process it accordingly — no prior notice is required.

### **Car & Booster Seats**

Car seats may be used onboard or transported as checked baggage, depending on type and suitability.

Car seats used onboard must:

* Be secured using a standard aircraft single lap belt
*   Have a 5-point harness system
*   Fit within aircraft seat dimensions (max 43 cm x 43 cm / 17 in x 17 in)
* Remain securely fastened for the entire flight

Children are not permitted to use an infant car seat onboard.

If a car seat cannot be safely secured in the cabin, crew may stow it in the aircraft hold for taxi, take-off, landing, and turbulence. If stowage is not possible, it must be checked in as hold baggage.

Booster seats may be brought onboard but must be stored in the overhead lockers during taxi, take-off, landing, and whenever the seatbelt sign is on. Booster seats may also be carried instead of a cabin bag, depending on your baggage allowance.
